India's Siachen Glacier, the world's highest battlefield, is now open to visitors, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday. Singh was in Ladakh to inaugurate a strategically located bridge across the Shyok River along with Army Chief Gen. Bipin Rawat to provide easy connectivity to the Daulat Beg Oldi sector along the Actual Control Line (LAC) with China. Ladakh has immense tourism potential. Better connectivity in Ladakh would certainly bring tourists in large numbers.
