The mortal remains of hospitality baron Padma Bhushan Captain CP Krishnan Nair were consigned to flames at Mumbai’s Vile Parle crematorium on Sunday afternoon.

 

The funeral pyre was lit by his eldest son Vivek Nair  in the presence of the entire Nair clan. 

 

A large number of industrialists, politicians and film stars attended the funeral of the patriarch of the Nair family. Among them were Maharashtra Governor Sankaranarayanan, parliamentarians K V Thomas and K C Venugopal; MLA Farooq Abdullah, industrialists Ramachandran and CC Thampy; infrastructure developer Niranjan Hiranandani and film star Mammooty.
