New Delhi: In the old quarter of Delhi, hundreds of people gathered outside the Jama Masjid to demonstrate against the rule of citizenship. Delhi Police has made extensive preparations to test and deal with any adverse situation in the national capital, and large gatherings in several sensitive areas of the city have been banned.Flag marches were held in some parts of northeast Delhi and heavy police were deployed in parts of the city before Friday prayers and calls by some organizations to protest against the amended citizenship act, police said.
