The raids by the Income Tax Department continue on Friday at the premises of Siddhartha Medical College in Karnataka for the second day. The college is affiliated with the Sri Siddhartha Higher Education Academy, where Karnataka G Parameshwara, former deputy chief minister is the chancellor. An approximate amount of Rs 4.52 crore cash was confiscated in the I-T raids at Parameshwara's residence and at two medical colleges linked to him, IT official said . As part of its investigation into the alleged selling of government quota seats in the three institutes, officials said as many as 30 premises were checked by the (I-T) department.
