New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah, tabling the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill on Wednesday in the Rajya Sabha, said the country's Muslims need not be afraid, "they are and will remain the country's citizens." Attempts are being made to spread misinformation about this bill being against Muslims. Let me tell you that it's not. This bill is for neighbouring countries ' minority communities only. It has nothing to do with India's Muslims, "said Amit Shah. "Indian Muslims are safe and shall always remain safe. I appeal to the Indian Muslims that please do not fall for misinformation. Please do not be misguided. Please do not live in fear. Live fearlessly." he added.
