The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), two nationalised banks Indian Bank and Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), and several sports personalities on Thursday joined efforts in the Clean India Campaign.

According to the IOC, apart from its top officials, noted sports personalities like tennis champion Rushmi Chakravarthi, chess grandmaster B. Athiban, and national table tennis champion R. Ramesh Babu participated in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The IOC has rolled out a cleanliness drive across its countrywide marketing infrastructure and network of 40,000 customer touch points, including over 24,000 petrol/diesel stations, and 7,000 Indane cooking-gas distributors.

Officials of Indian Bank and IOB started the cleanliness drive at their headquarters and in their branch offices.
