Israeli envoy meets Agriculture Minister

India and Israel are collaborating in agriculture, horticulture, dairy, water, irrigation, seeds development and many other sectors.

Welcoming Israeli ambassador H.E. Daniel Carmon, Union Agriculture Minister, Radha Mohan Singh said that an action plan 2012-15 is being implemented in several states of the country, which include Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.

He said that Israeli has shown interest in establishing centre of excellence in India. Agriculture is a strong foundation for strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. Both the countries agreed that the present agreement will be renewed after 2015.

Daniel Carmon said that many Israeli companies were interested to work in India in the field of dairy under PPP mode. Radha Mohan Singh said that India will extend all possible cooperation in this regard.
