Javadekar publicly raps Doordarshan

National broadcaster Doordarshan Tuesday got a public rap from its own boss union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (Independent Charge) Prakash Javadekar over delay in setting up a mike on the dais.
The incident occurred moments after Javadekar, who was in an evident hurry, was all set to address a press conference at a Goa resort, when a Doordarshan employee rushed to the dais to set up a microphone with an official logo.
An irate Javadekar asked the attendant: "Doordarshan is the last every time… That means everyone else is already here!"
Doordarshan, the country's official broadcaster functions under the aegis of the information and broadcasting ministry.
According to the minister's official programme, Javadekar, in Goa to attend the 16th All India Whips Conference, was in a hurry to catch a train to Pune, immediately after the press conference.
