Karnataka's senior most anti-corruption officer and Lokayukta, Justice P Vishwanatha Shetty has been hospitalised after he was stabbed and critically injured in his Bangalore office.

Police has arrested Thejas Sharma, who repeatedly attacked Justice Shetty and was in his office along with other people to register their complaints. Thejas Sharma launched the assault on Shetty without any provocation.

Justice Shetty was brought to the hospital soon after he fell down during the incident. The Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the hospital while state minister T Ramalinga Reddy said that the Lokayukta is recovering well.
