According to Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale, the Kashmir issue was not raised or discussed at the second informal summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping. He was at a special press briefing following the end of the two-day summit. India had previously taken exception to references to Kashmir following talks between Xi and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan prior to the informal meeting visit by the Chinese President to India.
