A Kolkata  court issued an arrest warrant on Tuesday against Congressman Shashi Tharoor for a comment he made last year about a ' Hindu Pakistan ' creation. A  Metropolitan Magistrate Court issued a warrant against the Thiruvananthapuram MP based on a case filed by Sumeet Chowdhary, a lawyer. Tharoor had said in July last year that if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, it would create a condition that would lead to a ' Hindu Pakistan ' being formed. Speaking at an event in Thiruvananthapuram, Tharoor had said the BJP would write a new constitution that would pave the way for a country like Pakistan where minority rights are not respected.
