Srinagar, Jan 19 :In a joint operation launched during dawn hours has been successful in eliminating LeT top commander terroist in the South Kashmir district of Bandipore. A jawan was injured during the encounter but has been shifted to the army hospital in the area. 

The op was launched after security forces recived a tip off regarding the location of the terrorist who had been at the helm of ressurecting terorism in the south Kashmir area. This is the second successful encounter within three days for the forces who had earlier exterminated three local terrorists in a similar encounter in South Kashmir. 

The encounter has finished but combing operations are still on. Weapons and other ammunition has been recovered from the encounter site.
