Media Eye News Bureau: Over 100 beneficiaries of the 'Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana', a scheme for providing LPG connections to women from poor families interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the LPG panchayat which was hosted by President Ram Nath Kovind recently.

He emphasised on the need for ending discrimination against the girl child as well as working towards fortifying cleanliness in their villages as well.

The beneficiaries also expressed to PM Modi during an informal interaction of how their lives had improved through the use of LPG cylinders.

The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is a scheme of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas which was introduced for providing LPG connections to women from poor families.
