Maha Governor condoles demise of freedom fighter Dattaji Tamhane
The Governor of Maharashtra K. Sankaranarayanan has expressed condolences over the demise of well known freedom fighter and social worker Shri Dattaji Tamhane in Mumbai on Monday (7 April). In a message, the Governor said: 
 
“In the demise of Shri Dattaji Tamhane, Maharashtra has lost a freedom fighter who dedicated his entire life to the service of society. A noble soul, Dattaji lent his voice to raise the problems of the oppressed people, particularly tribals and workers. As Member of the State Legislature, he left his imprint on the working of House. Shri Dattaji had touched the lives of several people with his kindness. He lived a remarkable life.”
