Maha Governor meets Canadian
The Governor of Maharashtra K. Sankaranarayanan hosted a high tea in honour of the Governor General of Canada Rt Hon’ble David Johnston at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Saturday (1 March). A high level delegation is accompanying the Canadian Governor General on his 3- day State visit to Mumbai.
 
The Governor General informed the Governor that the Canadian delegation had a Round Table meeting with Mumbai’s film production industry earlier in the day. He said Canada is exploring the option of co-producing films in the digital media and animation.
 
The visiting delegation told the Governor that Canada is keen to develop cooperation with India in the areas of infrastructure and energy sector, innovation and skill development, pension plans, etc.
 
Maharashtra’s Minister for Protocol Suresh Shetty and State Chief Secretary J S Sahariya were present.
