Maha Governor to release book of Commander Abhilash Tomy

The Governor of Maharashtra K. Sankaranarayanan will release a Malayalam Book titled ‘Kadal Ottaykku Kshanichappol’ (When the Ocean Beckoned Me) at Conference Hall, Raj Bhavan, Mumbai at 11.30 AM on Wednesday, 2 April 2014.
The book has been written by Commander Abhilash Tomy, based on the experiences of his voyage – non-stop unassisted, solo, circumnavigation on an Indian made sail boat ‘Mhadei’ last year. The book has been brought out by ‘Malayala Manorama’ on the occasion of the first anniversary of the voyage.
Vice Admiral Shekhar Sinha, PVSM, AVSM, NM BAR ADC, FOC-in-C, Western Naval Command, Shri Harsha Mathew (0481 – 2563 646 / 656), Assistant Editor & Director, Malayala Manorama, Commander Abhilash Tomy and other eminent persons will remain present on the occasion.
