New Delhi, MArch 24: Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday noted that Indian IT firms have nothing to fear from new H1B curbs imposed by America or about their job security abroad since the Indian Government is in talks with the Trump administration on the same issue.
The reassurance comes at a time when 4 bills have been introduced in front of the Congress even though none of them have been passed yet.
MEA top leader stated that the government was engaged with the US at the highest level to ensure that the interests of Indian professionals are not severely impacted by any new changes in the H1B norm. India, she said that the Indian Government was trying to make sure that no such bill gets through US Congress.
She asserted that Senate members too were sympathetic to the cause of Indina professionals and are convinced that Indians are not stealing their jobs. The Minister also informed the house that the visa facility provided to the spouse of the Indian spouse has not been withdrawn yet. Regarding illiegal deportation she informed the Parliament that a list of 271 names has been provided to India and that they will not be deported until after full verification of their documentations has been completed.
