BMC to resume city water supply
There is a good news for Mumbaikars. The city reeling under severe water crunch since past fifteen days will get their regular quota of this life elixir from March 31, thanks to the BMC that has decided to resume normal water supply from Monday. The BMC had announced a 10% water cut for a fortnight up to March 31. But since work has been completed, the water cut is being discontinued, said a press release.
“Misdeclared” goods seized
The city Customs department recently confiscated a consignment imported from Hong Kong by Abhay Enterprises as the goods had been “misdeclared” to evade duty of Rs 2.18 crore.
Mega block to hit CR
Due to a mega block on Sunday, CST-bound services will be suspended at Nahur, Kanjurmarg and Vidyavihar from 10.45am to 3.15pm on Sunday. Harbour line services between Panvel and Nerul will also be suspended from 10.40am to 3.30pm.
Illegal structures razed in Malad
BMC pulled down illegal structures, including 10 stable structures, at Malad (W) station on Saturday.
Road accident: 10 injured
The driver of a speeding truck in Palghar was arrested after 10 passengers aboard a state transport bus were injured when the truck collided with the bus on Saturday.
