Minor girl raped in Kolkata

In a virtual re-run of the infamous Park Street rape case 20 month back, a minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted inside a taxi in the upscale area of the city, the police said Monday.
The 13-year-old girl, whose family lives on a pavement, was alleged to have been dragged inside the cab and raped Sunday night in the Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Raod – close to Park Street.
One person has been arrested in connection with the incident, while a manhunt was on to nab the taxi driver and an accomplice. In February 2012, an Anglo-Indian woman was allegedly raped by a group of youths who befriended her in a night club in the area.
The sensational crime shocked the city, and the case continues to be heard in the court. But the prime suspect was still at large.
