Minor's rapist gets 10 years jail

A Delhi court Monday sentenced a waiter to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for kidnapping and raping a two-year-old neighbour after taking away the girl from her father on the pretext of playing with her.
Additional Sessions Judge M.C. Gupta awarded the jail term to Bablu, 26, after holding him guilty of kidnapping, wrongfully confining and raping the child four years ago and slapped a fine of Rs.20,000.
"I am of the considered opinion that the ends of justice can be met by sentencing Bablu to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 10 years under Section 376 IPC (rape)," the court said.
The rape was committed on the intervening night of May 24-25, 2009.
