The Mizoram Governor Vakkom Purushothaman, who was transferred to Nagaland, said here on Friday that he has resigned.

While briefing media persons on his arrival in Thiruvananthapuram, he said it's improper to transfer governors like government staff. 

"Now I will be involved in party work here and will not go after power politics," said the 86-year-old veteran Congress leader.
