Modi duckssalvoes on riots, asks Congress to apologise first
Evadingdemands to apologize for the 2002 Gujarat riots, NarendraModi said the Congress should first atone for their sins before asking him to forward an apology.
The BJP star campaigner was asked during an interview with a popular news channel that there was a plea he should express regret for the pogrom in the state that broke out when he was the Chief Minister.

"None from Congress have come to meet me. Nor they have even spoken about an apology. Congress people should first account for their sins before seeking account from others," he said.

When asked about his take onPrime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s observation that he was a "danger" to the country, Modi said, "I have not heard Manmohan Singh speak like this during his ten-year tenure. "He further said , under his tenure since past 12-years, Gujarat had witnessed tremendous development. On ‘danger’ charge leveled on him he said, ‘if there is a danger from any person it can be also from anyone living in a street or any mohalla.’

Downplaying 'Modi wave' in the country he said, "This is a BJP wave and not Modi wave. Modi is not bigger than the party," he said adding that the 2014 LokSabha elections were not "Modi-centric".
