Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met the presidents of leading chambers of commerce and industry of Bangladesh here.
"Strengthening business links. PM @narendramodi meets Presidents of leading Chambers of Commerce & Industry," Vikas Swarup, spokesperson of the external affairs ministry, tweeted.
Modi, who is on a two-day official visit to Bangladesh, earlier in the day received the Bangladesh Liberation War award on behalf of former Indian prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from President Mohammad Abdul Hamid at a function in Dhaka.
He also visited the Dhakeshwari temple in Dhaka and offered prayers.
He then visited the Ramakrishna Mission at Gopibagh.
He inaugurated the new Indian high commission chancery at Baridhara where he launched six projects undertaken with grant-in-aid from India.
