Modi thanks all for their constant support, blessings

Hours ahead of taking oath as India's next prime minister, Narendra Modi Monday thanked all those who will be viewing his oath-taking ceremony, and said their constant support and blessings meant a lot.
"A big thank you to all friends who will be viewing the ceremony on TV and through social media. Your constant support and blessings mean a lot," Modi said in a tweet.
Welcoming all those who will join in the swearing-in ceremony, he added: "I am glad and honoured that people from all walks of life will join the swearing in ceremony. I welcome them."
In another tweet, Modi, who will be taking oath as India's 14th prime minister at Rashtrapati Bhavan here, thanked legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar for her wishes.
"Thank you Lata Didi. As always, your greetings and best wishes inspire me deeply," wrote Modi, while sharing a picture of the handwritten letter Mangeshkar sent to him, expressing regret for not being able to make it to the ceremony.
