Modi, Xi discuss 'all sensitive issues of concern at length'

India and China discussed "all sensitive issues of concern at length", including the latest incursion by hundreds of Chinese troops in Ladakh, during official talks between visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi here Thursday.
External affairs ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said on twitter that both leaders held "comprehensive discussions" and discussed "all sensitive issues of concern, at length, during talks" at Hyderabad House here.
He said following the meeting between the two leaders in Ahmedabad Wednesday, both Modi and Xi are "addressing substantive issues" during their talks here.
The Chinese leader's visit comes as nearly 1,000 Chinese troops crossed about five km into the Indian territory on Wednesday in Ladakh's Chumar sector.
The troops of both sides held a flag meeting at the brigadier-level at Chushul to resolve the stand-off along the disputed boundary.
Akbaruddin said earlier that Modi raised the incursion issue with Xi in Ahmedabad.
"When leaders of important countries like India and China meet at summit level, these are occasions for discussing substance. So, I can assure you that that process has already started. Yesterday, the issues of substance that you are referring to have already been raised at the highest level."
"Today, there are several opportunities for discussion and all issues of a substantive nature, including the recent events that you are referring to, will be addressed," Akbaruddin said, to a question on the incursion.
There has been increasing concern in India over the repeated incursions by Chinese troops into the Indian territory.
The two sides are to ink several agreements in the infrastructure and railways sector later Thursday.
