A slab of a shop in Prasad Shopping Mall at Goregaon West crashed early on Wednesday, killing two and leaving six seriously injured, the police sources said. The victims were rushed to the nearby Siddhartha Hospital where the doctors declared the two persons brought dead.

Three among the six who were seriously injured in the mishap were transferred to the Nair hospital at Bombay Central for intensive medical treatment, while the other three are still recuperating at Siddhartha hospital,  said the CMO, Ms Patil of Siddhartha hospital on Wednesday.

The debris have been cleared as per the Fire brigade sources.
