The Bharatiya Janata Party is in an upbeat mood ever since the exit polls projected comfortable majority to the saffron alliance, NDA.
Exuding his confidence, the party's Uttar Pradesh in-charge Amit Shah said the exit poll figures will not go wrong.
In an interview to a national news channel, Shah said, "The NDA will win 290-305 seats and the BJP will get 250 to 260 seats. There is no need of plan B."
Stressing BJP's grand victory in Uttar Pradesh, he said, "The party will win 55 to 60 seats in Uttar Pradesh." Uttar Pradesh is one of the important states as it boasts of highest number of Lok Sabha seats, that is 80.
Replying on allegations of playing communal politics leveled against the saffron party by its detractors, Shah said, "None of the BJP workers was involved in the communal polarisation of the votes." Earlier, during an election rally at Muzaffarnagar, Shah had said, "If you want to take revenge, then vote for the BJP."
On the party's approach to fight elections in Uttar Pradesh, Shah said, "We fought election according to a political plan. We divided UP into 21 parts. We formed specific strategy for UP."
Shah further said, "We have been successful to spread Modi's message across the public. Modi's speeches were shown in most of the villages in Uttar Pradesh."
