Islamabad, Nov 30:Far from accepting its role in being the launch pad for terrorists infiltrating and operating within India, a nervous Pakistan has referred to the presence of the Indian army in the valley as a hurdle for peace talks. The statement was made by the Foreign Office spokesperson, Nafees Zakaria, a day after JeM backed terrorists launched twin attacks in Samba and Nagrota in Jammu sector.
The Pakistani diplomat alleged that since the last four months,Indian troops have "killed innocent Kashmiris and violated basic human rights". He urged India to stop the "bloodshed in occupied Kashmir", emphasising Pakistan's desire to resolve outstanding issues with India peacefully.
The spokesman also called on the UN to play its role in resolving the Kashmir issue and implement its resolution. Such diplomatic statements from Pakistan are hardly holding any ground in the international arena as well where in the recently concluded UN General Assembly Indian foreign Minister Sushma swaraj had strongly protested against the support that Pakistan has been extending to terrorists who enter India with the intent to create mayhem.
The Pakistan Government is working hard at rebuilding its credentials ever since its hand in supporting terrorism has been exposed by India with due support from super powers such as USA and Russia.
