New Delhi: Tamil Nadu BJP chief, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, and former Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya are on today's list of five new governors announced by President Ram Nath Kovind. Dr. Soundararajan was named Telangana Governor-having a distinct Governor is the first for the latest state in the country. Bandaru Dattatreya was appointed to replace  Kalraj Mishra, Himachal Pradesh Governor.

Besides the two, former union minister Arif Mohammad Khan has been appointed the Governor of Kerala and Bhagat Singh Koshyari as the Governor of Maharashtra.

Kalraj Mishra, who was the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, has been appointed as Rajasthan Governor.
