The government has not yet made any decision on bringing in a national National Citizens Register (NRC), the Ministry of Home Affairs said. The clarification was given by Minister of Home Affairs (MoS) Nityanand Rai in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. "The government has not yet taken any decision to prepare the National Citizens ' Register (NRC) at the national level," Rai said, answering questions as to whether the government has any plans to introduce the NRC throughout the country.
