New Delhi: Parliamentarians will no longer receive food at reduced rates as all discounts provided to MPs on food items in both houses came to an end on Thursday with immediate effect. The announcement was made by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.The decision was taken during a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), attended by MPs from different parties who unanimously agreed to end the subsidy on all food items in the canteen of the Parliament.
