Maharashtra state assembly elections scheduled to take place on the October 15 and 24, 57,583 voters in Mumbai city are reported to  cast  their votes that will decide the fate of 139 contestants who are in the fray.

In Mumbai district that constitutes ten electoral constituencies, 30,239 new voters are added in new enrollment increasing the total number of voters to 24,57,583 as on September 17, 2014 .

Of the new enrollments Colaba leads the table with a maximum of 5,144, Dharavi 2273, Wadala 2114, Mahim 2, 583, Worli 2590, Sivadi 3106, Byculla 2409, Malabar hill 2996 and Mumbadevi 4204 as informed by the district authorities.
