Chennai, India: Pakistan connection to Drug and Ammunition was found by Chennai NCB, when they conducted a raid on a Sri Lankan Boat. Three Hundred Kilograms of Heroin and 5 AK 47 guns were caught. NCB got prior information about this boat going to Sri Lanka. The boat was captured near Lakshadweep. NCB Chennai and Indian Coast Guard jointly conducted the raid.

All the six persons in the boat were Sri Lankan nationals. In the water tank of the boat 304 packets of white powder – cocaine was also captured. All the packets had picture of horses and Bandar Iran written on them. NCB Director Amit Gawate stated that 5 AK 47s and 1000 bullets were captured.

When NCB Chennai enquired Pakistan connection was established. When similar incidents occurred in the Arabian Sea, the connection with Pakistan Drug Mafia was established.
