New Delhi: On Wednesday, the Supreme Court stated that the parties involved in the case of the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute were free to settle the matter, if they so wished, through mediation. They can put the report on dispute settlement before it.
The apex court referred to a letter from the three-member mediation panel led by Justice F.M. Kalifulla on Tuesday seeking the approval of the court to resume discussions in the Ayodhya case.The apex court made it clear that the daily hearings in the case will go on and the proceedings will continue to remain confidential.
