Mumbai: Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal accepted his mistake on his comments on Einstein and Newton on Friday at a function in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and clarified his position.

The Railway minister had said on Thursday, while defending the economy's current slowdown, "Maths never helped Einstein find gravity." He was talking at an inaugural function of 102 different passenger amenities including flagging of second CSMT-Delhi Rajdhani express.  

The Union Minister added, "there are several startups that are coming up in India and not everyone will be successful. But we will have to encourage them."
