New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Arun Jaitley's residence this morning to pay his condolences, three days after the death of the former union minister at Delhi's AIIMS. PM Modi was on a three-nation trip to France-UAE-Bahrain when he received the news, and was reportedly requested not to shorten his trip when he spoke to the family of Mr Jaitley to express his grief.

The funeral of Mr Jaitley took place on Sunday. PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah visited the home of Mr Jaitley in South Delhi this morning and met the spouse and children of the veteran leader.
