What may be termed as an extreme case of negligence, a doctor has reportedly administered abortion pill to a pregnant mother at a Jammu hospital in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, resulting in the loss of the baby.  

On the complaint of the woman, the Jammu police have arrested the doctor and ordered a thorough investigation into the atrocious issue. Meanwhile, the state Women’s Commission has sought a detailed report on this from the state’s health department.
