Indian President Pranab Mukherjee arrived in Brussels Wednesday night at the start of a six-day official visit to Europe. He is visiting Belgium and Turkey.

 

 Mukherjee was received by Belgian King Philippe and Queen Mathilde at the military airport of  Melsbroek. The president is accompanied by daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee and an official delegation that includes Union Shipping Minister G.K. Wasan, five MPs, three vice chancellors, Prof Ved Prakash, chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) and senior foreign ministry officials.
