Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi seems to be a man on a mission to attack the BJP. After taking on the government on land bill and farmers he pitched for a debate on net neutrality in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.
Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday gave a notice for the adjournment of the Question Hour and wants the Lok Sabah to debate net neutrality. "I am going to speak a few words on net neutrality in Parliament," Rahul Gandhi said.
An adjournment motion involves an element of censure against the government. However, it is up to the Speaker to decide on taking up the motion.
Telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said on Wednesday that the Modi government is serious about the net neutrality issue. "Telecom Commission will look into the recommendation of TRAI and then take final decision," Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
