Rani at a police event

The city’s top cop Rakesh Maria and silver screen’s gorgeous lass Rani Mukerji launched a Mumbai traffic police initiative ‘Make Way for Ambulance’.

In this three-month-long awareness drive, efforts will be taken to generate a green corridor for ambulances carrying critical patients to the hospitals thereby saving crucial time.

Speaking on the event, Maria said, “We would like to play an active role in saving a life. We need to educate citizens about the importance of the ‘golden hour’.

Let’s swear to clear the way for an ambulance whenever we hear the siren so that the emergency vehicle reaches the hospital faster”.

Buoyed over the success of Mardaani, Rani was confident that the initiative turns out to be a colossal success and said “I hope the idea is imitated all over India. This drive will make a great difference in saving crucial lives”.
