The top court of India also felt the strong political heat of the Karnataka as the court hosted for a rare midnight hearing where the Congress made a last minute effort to stay the swearing in of BS Yeddyurappa as the chief minister.

The the court had ruled in favour of the BJP and allowed Yeddyurappa to take oath as CM today morning.

The Supreme Court had arrived in a conclusion after hearing the both sides for more than two hours and the bench led by Justice AK Sikri, who started hearing the case on 2.10 am early morning, ended the proceedings at around 4am in the morning.
