Ready for discussion on demonetisation: Jaitley

New Delhi, Nov 22:  Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday said the government was ready to hold a discussion on demonetisation and declared that the note-ban was welcomed by people across the country. He implored the opposition to let both the houses of the Parliament work without constant disruption was it meant wastage of time needed to pass other important bills as well.

"The whole country welcomed the step taken to curb the black money… We are ready to hold discussion on demonetisation," Jaitley said at a media briefing after the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) parliamentary body met

The Prime Minister has held an important parliamentary meet with all the allies of BJP including the Shiv Sena, which recently took to holding protests along with Mamta Baneerji  in front of the Rashtriya Pati Bhavan demanding a roll back of the demonitisation move. The meet saw the IM made an emotional appeal to all the politicians to support the move, this comes at a time when opposition parties are adamantly stuck on having the PM being present in the Lok Sabha to give answers. There are still 22 bills pending in both the houses and with the opposition not allowing any work to take place there is a lot of time being wasted in the disruption.
