The Governor of Maharashtra K. Sankaranarayanan unfurled the National Flag and took salute from a ceremonial parade at Marine Drive in Mumbai on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the Republic of India on Sunday 26 January 2014.

 

Smt Radha Sankaranarayanan, Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Sunil Prabhu, Mayor of Mumbai, Justice Mohit Shah, Chief Justice of Bombay High Court and other dignitaries were present on the dais.

 

This year, the venue of the Republic Day parade was shifted from Shivaji Park in Dadar to Marine Drive. The Governor’s message to the people of Maharashtra was telecast by Doordarshan and All India Radio on the morning of 26th January
