New Delhi: In the midst of the countrywide protests against the new legislation on citizenship, Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the launch of the party's election campaign to launch a furious assault on his opponents, urging them to "lay bare" before the country if any of his policies discriminated against minorities. "Stand up and respect parliament, honor the government elected by the people," he urged from Delhi's Ram Lila Maidan. Accusing his opponents of disrupting his return to power, he said, "I want to say to such people that if you hate the mandate I got then harass Modi and go against Modi. But stop burning public property and destroying the auto of a poor man."
