The son of BJP MP and Bengali actor Roopa Ganguly was detained for reckless driving after ramming with his vehicle on Thursday a wall of an upscale Kolkata club. According to reports, Akash Mukhopadhyay, 20, has been drunk.

Police said many had a tight escape as the black sedan slammed at breakneck velocity into the Royal Calcutta Golf Club's wall.

He was detained on dangerous driving charges, police said today. A medical test still needs to find out if he was drunk last night when he crashed his vehicle late.
