Media Eye News Bureau: Despite the Kerala government issued a circular that restricted normal public from hoisting the tricolour, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat unfurled the national flag at a Sangh Parivar managed higher secondary school affiliated to Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE), on the eve of the 69th Republic Day.

Mr. Bhagwat defied the State government order that allowed only the heads of institutions to hoist the tricolour.

BJP State President Kummanam Rajasekharan and other top leaders in the state attended the function along with all the students and teachers of the school where Mr. Bhagwat was the chief guest.

The RSS chief kept distance on commenting the latest circular issued by the Kerala government, instead used the opportunity to speak about the need of nationalistic feelings to thwart divisive and terrorist challenges.

Mr. Bhagwat will be present at the school for few more days as part of a three day regional sibiram.

The Vyasa Vidya Peetom Higher Secondary School at Kallekkad in Palakkad district, where Mr. Bhagwat was the chief guest, is being run by the Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, educational wing of the RSS.
