New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to grant him pre-arrest bail in the INX Media money laundering case filed by the Enforcement Directorate.The Supreme Court rejected Chidambaram's plea challenging the judgment of the Delhi High Court denying him anticipatory bail in the case, stating that financial offense must be treated differently as it impacts the country's economy.

There must be adequate freedom for the investigating agency to perform a probe into the situation, the apex court said. It also dismissed Chidambaram's request to direct the ED to produce his interrogation transcripts performed on three dates by the agency.
