After scores of Mumbaikars complained that their names were absent from the voters list, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has presented a memorandum to state electoral officer stating that thousands of names were missing from the voters list.
The party is also contemplating to file a PIL in the Bombay High Court. A separate PIL is going to be filed over the issue on Monday.
Scores of names were reported missing from electoral rolls in Mumbai, the major ones among them including HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh. The Election Commission has acknowledged that it has not witnessed such a large scale operational blunder.
