Sena questions sustainability of alliance with BJP
The Shiv Sena-BJP row over the latter’s hobnobbing with SS chief’s bête noir and estranged cousin Raj Thackeray is overnow but the way the present BJP leadership dealt with its 25-year-old partner has put a serious question mark on the future of sustainability of this alliance in Maharashtra. He sought its oldest partner’s assurance that chinks would not appear between them in future.
"The BJP appears to be hobnobbing with new parties while keeping existing partners in the dark," Uddhav Thackeray lamented in his editorial in party mouthpiece Saamna.

Lauding the late BJP politico PramodMahajan as an adroit political manager, Uddhav said the present breed of leaders (BJP) lack this ability and therefore  troubles are brewing with allies like Chandrababu Naidu of the TDP and KuldeepBishnoi in Haryana.

He said, “Mr Naidu is apparently vexed with the BJP as it took in NT Rama Rao's daughter Purandeswari, his sister-in-law, without taking him into confidence. In Haryana, the BJP has reportedly kept open the possibility of a tie-up with Om PrakashChautala, though its ally KuldipBishnoi is against it.”

Airing his concern over the big brotherly attitude of a ‘few’ BJP leaders, the SS supremo said the party is facing trouble in Karnataka too.He said the party’s senior leader SushmaSwaraj had objected strongly to the move to merge Karnataka's BRS Congress with the BJP. On Wednesday, she had tweeted against the merger, which will bring controversial leader B Sriramulu, who enjoys close proximity with the jailed mining magnateJanardhan Reddy, back into the BJP.
