New Delhi: The Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid, calling for restraint while exercising what he calls the democratic right to protest, stressed that the citizenship law at the heart of massive protests across the country "has nothing to do with Muslims living in India." He also notes that the other cause for the demonstrations, the NRC or National Register of Citizens, "has not yet become a law.
